Our work in Western Europe involves sourcing capital investment from local financial institutions as well as ongoing consulting assignments. One such example is the application of reinsurance to the needs of the developing world. Another is an ongoing project with a reinsurance company in respect of disaster mitigation. Roughly 95% of disaster-related deaths occur in developing countries, which typically
lack insurance and other risk mitigation schemes. Vulnerability to disaster impoverishes residents of the developing world. Having experienced a major disaster ourselves, this is an issue that is of particular concern.
Future projects in Europe will likely involve capital investment in Eastern Europe and possibly inner cities in Western Europe.
