Recommendation
Our
friend, June Arunga, a Kenyan law student, produced "The Devil's
Footpath" in cooperation with the BBC. A camera crew followed her
across Africa, from Egypt to the Sudan, Congo, Namibia, Angola and South
Africa. She examined the root causes of poverty and misery in each place
she visited. |

Author
visit
A regular event at our New
York office is our book club, a luncheon for visiting authors. Plowing
the Sea is Donna's pick for one of the ten best business books -
ever. The title is from Simon Bolivar's epitaph, "Whomsoever has
worked for a revolution has plowed the sea." Meant by Bolivar to
convey despair and the heartbreak of failure, these words are transformed
by authors Michael Fairbanks and Stace Lindsay who work in the field of
international development. |
